Description: Tinder-pistol (length 8 ins) of iron, with plain wooden butt; candle-socket (rising from foot) still contains portion of old tallow candle; compartment in side for sulphur-matches, etc., lid closing with unusual form of snap-catch; still contains two unused pistol-flints; lid inscribed "Woolley"; early 18th century.
