Description: Poster, British Railways (Western Region), Weston-super-Mare, The Smile in Smiling Somerset, by Harry Riley, about 1960. Coloured lithograph depicting an attractive woman wearing striped shorts and a red strapless top, holding the hand of a young blonde girl wearing a blue swimsuit and yellow blouse, and carrying a bucket and spade. They are ascending a flight of stairs with a cafe, holidaymakers and the beach beneath them, and a pier in the background. Additional text reads "Travel by Train. Guide Free from A. R. Turner, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare." A blue British Railways 'totem' is at bottom right. At bottom margin text reads: "Printed in Great Britain by Waterlow & Sons Ltd., London & Dunstable". Reference PR 140. Format double royal.
