Description:  Poster, British Railways (Scottish Region) poster, Bi-centenary of the birth of Scotland's natonal poet Robert Burns, 25th January 1759 - 21st July 1796, See Scotland by train, by W C Nicolson, 1959. Printed by McCorquodale and Co., Ltd., Glasgow, Scotland. (B25267). Depicts Burns surrounded by characters and places from his life and poems, including Highland Mary, Tam o' Shanter and Souter Johnny, Clarinda, Jean Armour and Holy Willie. At bottom left is a depiction of the poet's seal, and at bottom right a map showing 'The Land of Burns' and its railway services. Printed by McCorquodale. Format: quad royal. Dimensions: 40 x 50 inches, 1016 x 1270mm.
