Notes: freelance artist who produced work for Austin Reed, Shell, London Transport, Post Office, Ministry of Food, Radio Times, Gillette, Guinness, ROSPA and British Railways, ER, NER, WR;
produced artwork for the Concorde platform panels at Heathrow underground station; c. 1956-1976 - head of the department of design at the London College of Printing; 1952 - elected member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale); 1963 - RDI (Royal Designer for Industry); 1990 - awarded the Chartered Society of Designers' medal; retrospective exhibitions at London's Transport Museum in 1986 and at the London Institute in 1997, and in 1981 at the British Gallery at Yale University.
